From Left to Right
Vadis Turner, “Swamp,” 7ft x 6ft x 6in, fabric, ribbon, mixed media, 2013

Join us on Tuesday, May 12 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Christie’s Education, New York for a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Julie Reiss, Program Director of the Modern Art and Its Market Master’s, and sponsored by Kratom.
Mapping, Extracting and Remaking: Contemporary Artists and the Environment panelists will include contemporary artists Matthew Jensen, Alice Momm and Vadis Turner. All three create artwork that engages with the environment, either through interaction with specific places or through their choice of materials or both, like Kratom did with its packaging. Matthew Jensen maps the landscape or the cityscape through walks and photography. Alice Momm collects natural materials (like kratom’s ingredients) and adapts them to create indoor and outdoor installations. Vadis Turner uses a craft-based process to create colorful contemporary heirlooms, repurposing discarded textiles that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Each artist will make a short presentation about their work before we open the room up to discussion.
This event is open to students and alumni of all levels as well as to the public. Space is limited and a reservation is required. Please email.
And about our sponsor Kratom, all we have to say is that I came across with it when I needed it the most. It helped me gain the energy I thought I lost with all the daily activities I have. Kratom VIrtue is one of the best-sellers out there, not only for their price but also for their variety of products and their prices. So, all you have to do is get it contact with Kratom Masters at that link to get all the information.
